Solicitors and/or Experienced Consultant Quantity Surveyors – Belfast
Our Belfast Office is actively looking for an experienced Solicitor specialising in Commercial and Construction Law or an experienced Consultant QS, preferably with additional qualifications relating to construction/contractual law.
This position will be based in our Belfast office and focused on developing and supporting our clients in Northern Ireland. The role will also involve some support of our clients in the Republic of Ireland and Wales.

- experience and aptitude in the management of the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects.

They will also be expected to be to assist the team in expanding our active client base and where appropriate, we will also look to support that person in gaining additional qualifications relating to our areas of expertise.

Contract Consultant Quantity Surveyors / Commercial Managers
Even if we do not have an immediate opportunity, our offices are always interested in hearing from experienced Contract Consultant Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers and Construction Dispute Specialists. We often have new projects arise where we may need additional resources in order to deliver our services in a timely and cost effective fashion. So we are always keen to hear from potential consultants, even if they are not immediately available for work.
Recent opportunities have included work in the following geographical areas
- Banbury
- Birmingham / West Midlands
- London
- East England
but we are keen to develop our contacts in all regions of the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Successful candidates for these contract roles will ideally have a range of relevant professional qualifications ranging from Quantity Surveying to legal qualifications including Solicitor or Barrister status. However most importantly they should be able to demonstrate experience and aptitude in some if not all of the following areas:
- problem solving,
- analysing contractual rights and obligations,
- preparing reports and schedules for use in dispute resolution forums,
- letter and report writing;
- preparing contractual claims, and
- actively managing problem situations with a view to avoiding formal disputes.
These positions would suit candidates from all backgrounds within the construction industry. Our clients work in building, civil engineering, M&E installations, rail and process engineering and most other sectors within and related to the construction industry.
The nature of our work does not always demand a specialism in any particular industry sector as the ability to analyse issues and develop solutions is more important.
