Profile

Steven Evans has worked in the Construction Industry for 20 years, the majority of that time for major construction companies in a senior Quantity Surveying or management position, gaining invaluable experience in a wide range of market sectors, both new build and refurbishment. In addition, Steven has undertaken estimating, planning, buying and project management roles.

Steven was born in South Wales, and began his career as a trainee Quantity Surveyor working for a major national contractor. During that time, Steven commenced his academic training at the University of Wales on a part time basis, thus attaining real world working experience whilst undertaking his further education.

Prior to joining Alway Associates in 2006, Steven worked as Managing Surveyor for a South Wales based Construction Company with turnover in excess of £70 million and gained a wealth of practical knowledge and experience in main contract and sub contract dispute management and resolution. Steven was also responsible for creating and implementing new company wide commercial management systems and procedures and for drafting sub contract terms and conditions.

Steven’s strength lies in using his Construction Law knowledge in conjunction with his practical experience to provide realistic advice to his clients.

To further his legal knowledge, Steven is currently in the final year of the full time Law Degree course at the University of London for which he is stadying in his spare time and aims to complete the degree in the shortest permissible period.

Steven specialises in Construction Law and disputes, including provision of legal advice, vetting of contracts, management of representations for the Referring or Responding party in Adjudication, claim preparation including quantum and time analysis, Quantity Surveying, overview and re-design of company systems and procedures and question & answer surgeries.
