Qualifications

Shane Nash is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor whose professional memberships and academic qualifications include Associate Membership of the Society of Chartered Surveyors (ASCS), Incorporate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building (ICIOB), Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, (MRICS) Membership of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), Degree in Quantity Surveying (Honours) from Trinity College Dublin, Diploma in Construction Economics & Management and Diploma in Construction Technology from Bolton Street Dublin Institute of Technology, Post Graduate Diploma in Arbitration from University College Dublin, Accredited Mediator with Friary Law & ADR Group. Shane is currently pursuing a post graduate Masters Degree in construction law.

Profile

Shane has been involved in the Irish Construction Industry for the past 12 years. Previous employments include quantity surveying roles with a large Dublin based subcontractor, a nationwide PQS consultancy and a large West of Ireland Main Contractor.

Originally from Loughrea in Co. Galway, Shane spent several years in Dublin City attending college and working as a quantity surveyor. In recent years Shane has returned to Galway to continue his career in the construction industry and has since developed good working relationships with a number of West of Ireland contractors, subcontractors, developers and construction consultants.

Over the years Shane has attained extensive and varied experience in quantity surveying & contract management. He has also acquired an excellent understanding of construction technology and onsite construction issues. These aptitudes combined with his background qualifications in alternative dispute resolution provide him with excellent credentials in the realm of dispute avoidance and management within the Irish Construction Industry.

Shane provides clients with advice on issues pertaining to bespoke or standard contracts, time & quantum analysis, Alternative Dispute Resolution options & procedures, dispute avoidance and risk management. He also provides support to various parties involved in construction related Litigation, Arbitration, Conciliation and Mediation.
